Working mostly across the fashion and music space, working in different environments and getting creative with light, space and dimension is a must. Sought after for my bold colour, subversive perspectives and out-of-the-box thinking, infusing my style and creative touch is something I thoroughly enjoy.
Blue Rinse Vintage Window Display
A seasonal window-front mural and mannequin styling display.
For a vintage store based in Manchester, I painted this large-scale mural and styled the mannequins for their winter season. Inspired by the traditional Christmas movie, Narnia and Gaudi's architectural design, I created this abstract 12ft wardrobe and added some personal touches such as the central emblem and night sky. For the mannequins, I considered current marginal fashion styles and trends such as multi-textured layers and neutral tones whilst paying a homage to the aesthetics of Narnia in a modern way.

Photography and artistic direction for a music artist Emma Robin's campaign and social media.
Working regularly with up and coming pop-soul musician and singer-songwriter, Emma Robin for just under a year, I've been responsible for her PR and social-led content, including photography and videography. Images shown are from her music videos 'Good Times' and 'THOT' as well as images from a to Lisbon for music promotion content.

Angels Wear Nada Illustration
A digital illustration created for a fashion brand's Jacquard labels.
Inspired by Sri Lankan masks which symbolise divine energies in physical forms, this illustration was a design created for an upcycling denim fashion brand with inclusivity and sustainability at its heart.
Founder Noon Khouri wanted to emulate the beauty and spiritual meaning that these ancient art forms represent and pay homage to Sri Lanka, where the garments are manufactured as the masks are especially significant in Buddhist households there.
Together, we chose the sunflower mask to recreate and reimagine which represents protection, happiness, new and revitalised energies. This design I designed and illustrated was created to be printed onto a Jacquard label for the denim garments.

Uitwaaien Film Title
A film title designed for an independent Dutch film project.
This design was part of a 3-part series around expressions that invoke and embody feelings that you can't always explain or describe in one word.
Uitwaaien is a Dutch word which expresses the notion of getting in touch with nature and the elements for stress relief and energy renewal, ultimately to connect with the natural world and improve one's mood.
The objective for the aesthetic was to reflect aspects of Dutch design. Known for being bold, clean and playful, Dutch design encourages a sense of humour. This allowed me to incorporate such stylistic elements in the placement of the letters as well as she shape, dimension and fluidity of the typography.

"Movement and the In-Between"
A dance photography shoot exploring cerebral themes.
The objective of this low budget shoot was to capture the essence of Conrad's journey as a young adult struggling with mental health and loneliness during the pandemic, through contemporary and freestyle dance. Wrestling with emotions, feelings of helplessness and tension were integral to his movement and the shapes he created.
The striking silhouettes and softer expressions detailed by Conrad are especially pronounced through the monochromatic contrast shadowing and alternating depths of field. The location added to the intensity of his power stances through the organic mixed in with the aged ruins, honouring the impact of the conflicting and oxymoronic experience of one's mental health journey.
I think the overall shoot does well to represent the intense voice and chaos many felt during the peak of the pandemic, whilst simultaneously representing the beauty of finding creative outlets for disorganised feelings.

Logo design for my personal brand
As a creative specialist well versed in multiple art forms and mediums, I created Phat Funk as an umbrella for my range of services I provide including design and illustration for clothing brands, film titles, consultation for social media strategy as well as the creation across photography, videography, graphic design, motion graphics, copy and content writing.
It quickly became focused around community too; Phat Funk's ethos is centred around sharing, inspiring, connecting and promoting. The mission is to infiltrate the crowded space of social media (where creativity is no doubt endlessly abundant) with projects that are centred around real passion, authenticity and love for what you do. It's easy to get lost, overwhelmed and fatigued by trying to 'compete' in the space... The aim is to show artists that their route to success as an artist is not necessarily about numbers, views or financial gains but rather, the fulfilment from what they create, mobilised by the raw experiences, emotion, talents and abilities we possess as an individual.

As well as being the lead product and model photographer for this streetwear brand for men and boys, I brainstormed and implemented the brand's creative direction for their socials (Facebook & Instagram).

Ozweego Digital Poster & Banner
A digital poster and banner created for Footasylum's Summer campaign.
Following a hypothetical brief to promote the Ozweego for Footasylum's Summer 2022 campaign as part of an interview process for a junior creative role, I conceptualised a digital poster and website banner.
I used my research and knowledge of current and predicted styles and trends to inform my design and layout. From textures down to the hook line, colour scheme and model photography to create an aesthetically engaging and captivating digital poster that aligns with Footasylum and the Ozweego franchise.
Alongside my designs, I also created an in-depth powerpoint deck going into detail about my design choices and explanations referring to trends across the fashion and design space.

A 3-part digital scroll banner created for the New Yorker
In collaboration with a copywriter, together we created a hypothetical banner advert for the New Yorker. I designed each slide and conceptualised the toy brand's name as well as designing each element and overall aesthetic, and finally, implementing the copy.
